Beloved friends, First of all, we are truly thrilled by the excitement, messages, and shares surrounding today’s announcement of Bodega by OX—our Spanish tapas and specialty drink venue opening in downtown Centralia. Your enthusiasm means more to us than we can express. This opportunity came together when a turn-key space became available, and OX immediately recognized the chance to open a public-facing concept that allows us to share a glimpse of what we love most: community, thoughtful Spanish food and beverages, and a standard of quality shaped by experience and intention. Bodega by OX is our way of inviting you into that vision sooner rather than later. We’re incredibly excited to begin showcasing some of our favorite tapas, wines, spritzers, and mocktails, and to be open to the public several days a week in the near future. One important clarification we’d like to share: while Bodega by OX, located at 328 N Tower Ave, sits directly in front of our future flagship restaurant site on Centralia’s charming N Tower Avenue, it is a small, high-end lounge and bar space with licensing restrictions that limit service to guests 21 and over. Although we have appealed the Liquor and Cannabis Board’s interpretation of the code, it is clear at this time that we cannot legally serve guests under 21 at this location. So, what does this mean? First, we encourage you to celebrate this step with us. Bodega allows us to bring our food, drinks, and hospitality to the public in a meaningful way—to offer locals and travelers alike a taste of the quality and concept behind OX. Second, this step brings us closer to our larger goal: securing the financing needed for the significant restoration and build-out ahead. That next phase will allow us to open our family-friendly, full-concept flagship restaurant across the street, where we can serve the community the complete OX experience at full capacity. We are deeply grateful for your continued support. We look forward to serving you in every way we can—through Bodega, as well as catering, classes, and private events—and we cannot thank you enough for your encouragement, loyalty, and belief in what we are building. With sincere gratitude,
OX Centralia / Bodega by OX Team
